....And by that, I mean, George Will is unabashed in his love for the married woman. In the article linked, he professes his love for Linda as a business leader who is inherently above the political game due to her job-making acumen. He also inexplicably meanders into Herbert Hoover, the Puritans and the very founding of Rhode Island, but I caution you when delving into Will's World. Anyway, this really grinds my gears. As most here are wrestling fans far more qualified than Will on the question at hand, does anyone think Linda's role was anything more than supportive? It's not sexist to observe that she, albeit ably, simply carried out the decisions of her husband on likely a host of business matters, if not all of them.
Now, she's gonna lose, hence this doesn't really matter. So why, DMC, do you care to post about this? Drunk again, huh? Well, yes. It's also emblematic of the lack of quality a lot of these tea party candidates possess. They truly are bereft of either accomplishment and/or horse sense. Sharron Angle evades the press like a member of the Politburo. Pat Toomey has spent almost a year trying to convince Pennsylvania that he isn't crazy, and, despite all the money and extended open canvass, he's still having trouble. Ken Buck recently mimicked Christine O'Donnell's retard rejection of the separation of church and state. Rand Paul, who actually has integrity, wants to gut the federal budget in a way that, however noble it may be, would garner less than a third of the vote if fully explained to people. Joe Miller, while clearly an intelligent and capable man, blames his past indiscretions on naivete and 'being human,' without actually owning up to his own responsibility. And this is what really gets me. Most of these people are indigent of personal responsibility, while assailing the Congress for the same sin. You thought the RINO's were bad? Wait til these people, and their uglier spawn in the House, take office. You're going from an escort service to Tamiami Trail, sans Paul. And, yeah, this may seem partisan, but it will happen on the left too. Moderate Democrats will become as scarce as moderate Republicans. Our only hope is John Boehner and Barack Obama to get anything done that doesn't have corporate advertising pasted all over the proverbial racecar. And that, my friends, is how you define irony.
