I have a Christian Music question for ya.
Today I'm flipping through the channels and I got the last half of POD's new video, I forgot the title already.
Anyways I got what the song was talking about. To me it spoke about the feeling you get when you are a new Christian and born again. Okay here's what got me - all through the video they showed this guy and girl and something with a car crash. What I took from the video if I didn't know the guys were Christian I wouldn't have even knew what they were saying I would have though they were talking about the feelings you get when you fall in love.
Now before you think I'm going to go on and bash the guys for putting out a message like that - I'm not. I understand contracts and all, I understand that when you sign on the dotted line you don't have the freedom people think you do.
For example -
Stryper - Wanted a Scripture reference on their CD and it was taken off there last album without their permission all because of a contract.
Amy Grant - Did a video to Baby Baby, a song about her new born baby, but instead in video it showed her fooling around with a guy.
Deliverance - Had a video to Weapons of our Warfare, a song about spiritual warfare, and instead of the video conveying that message it had images of War (tanks, bombs and the such)
The good one in the bunch - Newsboys - Were shooting a video a while back the producer told them the only way to get the video on MTV was to put women in bikinis in it and they refused.
I also got to have a long sitdown with a guitarist in a local band who had just left the band to be with his family more. The band is Sardonyx if you're wondering. Anyways he told me they refused to sign a contract (and they were offered a few) because of what you had to do under contract like playing the bar scene with Satanic groups. Sardonyx is Metal.
So believe me I understand all the reasons why things like that are in the POD video I'm sure there are reasons. I'm just wondering if you know anything about the song or video. And if you don't that's okay I thought you might know with working with that video show you talked about.
Thanks in advance.

So they will open up their mouths, but really who are theyAnd soon enough they'll fade away, only blind but soon they'll have to seeFear like a cancer spreads, how many more will drop their eyesLift their hands and wait to die, and how much time to spend to see who standsBut I think I know the way, I got a promise on the mind, and I'll be looking for what's mine Sovereign stillness whispers trust in me
