They are probably right. I let that douche Michael Medved get into my brain over the past 2 weeks and listening to him express worries over Thompson's late start have started to make me worry, too. Of course, I actually believe that Romney is Medved's horse in this race, so maybe he's just openly "wishfull thinking" and it's tainted my view.

At any rate, like I said before. If Thompson gets the nod, he'll have my vote instantaneously. If Romney gets it, he'll have my vote barring any surprise reasons to believe he's disingenuous. That's actually a major concern of mine. I really do wonder sometimes just how sincere a man Mitt Romney is. I already have watched John McCain pull the wool over a number of eyes, including my own at one point. I am watching Rudy do it (poorly) with this abortion issue. My gut tells me that Romney is suddenly best buddies with the NRA purely because he needs their support and the support of the millions of gun owners in America to have a chance at winning. My gut also tells me that he doesn't really have any affinity against guns, either. THAT is the part I'm worried about the most. I could care less if he's really a gun nut. As long as he isn't anti-gun and doesn't make any effort to violate the 2nd amendment, I'm fine with him joining the NRA for all the wrong reasons. For the record, I believe he's fairly straightforward with all of his other ideas and policies.
And if you touch me I will rip you apart
I'll reach in and take a bite out of that
Bitch you call a heart
