This story doesn't surprise me and it wouldn't surprise me if more online places got nailed for something.

I have taken bad beats before in real life and every bad beat is hard to handle, but that became something very different when it came to online poker. I stopped playing online and just stick with local games because of how questionable it had become.

I can't leave this topic without giving a story.

I will never forget the complete bullshit I took at Party Poker.

I was playing a regular game at Party Poker, I can't remember the exact blinds, but it was a mid-size table. The average pot was over 100 bucks. I only say that for the people that play online poker. You know that horseshit players usually don't play at those tables, usually they are pretty solid poker players with a nice bankroll.

Anyways, in comes this dumbass with a weird name. It was something that started with a "Y". Anyways, this guy starts playing absolute shit and winning. He wasn't doing the usual newb shit either. Like going all in with 7-2 offsuit, pre-flop. He was flat out calling guys down when those guys were showing a pair of Aces.

He went on this run of 3 big hands and then folded for awhile. Then I finally got something that I could play. Big Slick, suited (hearts). I come in with a healthy raise to get some hands out of the pot. Sure enough this motherfucker calls me. The flop comes Kc-Ks-4s. I will never forget that flop. I nailed that flop, but I was worried because the King and the Four were suited so there was a possible flush draw.

I made another stiff raise and he calls rather quickly, so I put him on the flush-draw, since he called instead of raised. The next card comes...

3h. Which is a dud for the flush. At this point I feel really confident in my cards so I raise it up to put him all in. He calls without hesitation. When he made that quick call it scared me. I don't know many people that would chase a flush for their entire stack, so I thought he may have slow played a full house one me. To my surprise he flips over...

5c-2h.

The guy called my first big raise with that hand, then he called a second big raise when he needed runner, runner to complete the straight. The he called me when I put him all in when he needed a 6 to complete his straight.

The next card was a 6 and he doubled up and I came very close to crying like a baby. I felt very sick to my stomach.

I stuck around and folded a bunch of hands for awhile and saw that guy do similar things to the rest of the crowd. He kept calling with horrible hands and then hitting his impossible card on the river.

I quickly left that table, cashed out and have never played online poker again. I have heard similar experiences and this article just verifies it for me. This was just a cash game and most of the stories I have heard took place in tournaments.

I am convinced that poker sites will occasionally do this horseshit. If it wasn't for a complete fuck-up by absolute poker, nobody would have found out. Too many questionable things happen on online poker.
