I'll throw out another one to go along with Vos's great idea... bring back double headers in the regular season! When I was a kid there were shitloads of SCHEDULED day/night double headers. Now you only see them when absolutely, positively vital to making up a rained out game and, usually, MLB does everything in their power to schedule the make up game on a free day in the two teams' schedules instead of a double header when they play each other again.

The idea that the players hated double headers is a commercialistic bullshit cop out by MLB. I've read interviews with the Braves of my childhood where they talked with great fondness of the double headers. The only players that disliked them were the primadonna players like Bonds and the relief pitchers who detested having to warm up, pitch, sit for 5 hours and then warm up and pitch again. This shouldn't be that big of an issue in today's game where every team has far more middle relievers and multiple specialists not to mention most relief pitchers throw twice a day on the side.

If you kill me it's self defense
And if I kill ya' then I call it vengeance
Spit in your eye I will defy
You'll be afraid when I call out your name
