Yeah, that's the problem. It loses some legitimacy if Benoit isn't involved, but if Benoit is involved, it hurts SmackDown and kinda throws the Horsemen formula out of whack. I mean, in all honesty, right now Benoit is just as high on the card as (some might say higher than) Flair. And really, Benoit can be used in much better ways than just being thrown into a nostalgic stable to sell a few DVDs.

I still won't be at all surprised if they do it though. You just know that Vince would see dollar signs in the DVD sales and the ability to use Flair to give a few guys the rub. It may not be the same formula as the traditional Horsemen, but if Flair's involved a lot of the marks won't know the difference anyway.

But I agree...if you're not gonna do it right, don't do it at all. If you want to spark a little nostalgia to sell DVDs, just do a one-night only "reunion" on Raw in North Carolina. Bring out Flair, Arn, Benoit, Malenko and any other former Horsemen you can get to appear. Show some classic highlights, and let Flair and Benoit square off in a face vs. face "respect" submission match as the main event. It wouldn't kill them to let the storylines play second fiddle for a week.
